Should I freeze my chocolate?
Freezing or refrigerating chocolate isn’t necessary. However, if you’re planning to keep your chocolate for an extended period, place package in two plastic bags, close tightly and freeze. When you are ready to eat your chocolates, take out of the freezer and allow the chocolates to thaw until they reach room temperature while still in the plastic bags. Typically, one box will require 5-6 hours.
Can I ship chocolate?
Absolutely! Shipping chocolate is a great way to treat your friends, clients, co-workers and family for any occasion. Ultimate Confections ships via UPS standard ground. If you require faster service, just let us know.

Can I ship chocolate-dipped strawberries?
Due to the perishable nature of fresh strawberries, we do not ship them.
What about high-altitude baking?
Unless you live, or plan to bake above 2,500 feet, you do not need to worry. If you live above 2,500 feet, here are some helpful tips to keep in mind:
- Ingredients dry out more quickly
- Doughs and batters rise more quickly
- Liquids boil faster
To combat these potential problems (the adjustment amount varies based on actual altitude):
- Use more grease when greasing pans
- Slightly increase your oven temperature
- Reduce sugars and leaveners
- Increase amount of liquids used
What sugar substitute does your Sugar-Free Chocolate line use?
The sugar substitute used in our sugar free chocolates is called maltitol. Maltitol is a sugar alcohol (polyol) that is not a monosaccharide or disaccharide, therefore, it is not classified as a sugar. Using maltitol in production of chocolate confections is ideal because it is difficult to taste or see any difference. Maltitol is also known as Maltisorb® crystalline maltitol.
What is white chocolate?
White chocolate is actually considered a coating because it does not contain cocoa powder, which is a component of chocolate.
What kind of chocolate does Ultimate Confections use?
We use Wilbur® Chocolate. Wilbur is located in Lititz, Pa.
